Cheers, fedoraforum!
I am having trouble with what I think is an on-board "Crystal CS4236/37/38" sound device (at least that's what it says on my very old invoice). Trouble is I don't hear any sound.
I looked in /var/log/dmesg and saw the following 3 lines:
> create - never read codec ready from AC'97
> it is not probably bug, try to use CS4236 driver
> Sound Fusion CS46xx: probe of 0000:00:0b.0 failed with error -5
If I run the "Hardware Browser", under "Sound Cards", it lists
> Cirrus Logic CS 4610/11 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator]
> CS4236B - CSC000
and under "Unknown Devices", it lists:
> CS4236B - CSC001
> CS4236B - CSC003
> CS4236B - CSC0010
Interestingly artsd is frequently on top in "top"...
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!
