I use F-Prot. http://www.f-prot.com

The version of their AV software for home linux users is free.

How this would work with a mail server, is something I can't help with I'm
afraid, sorry.

One thing I will add is that f-prot doesn't remove virii from 'unix mail
boxes' as they are considered 'archives', and it won't remove virii from
archives, or so the error message I get says. It does of course tell you if
there's something nasty in there.

Having said that, I am a noob to Linux so there are probably quite a few
ways to get around this, but I'm quite happy with not opening attachments
from strangers etc for the time being.

Regards,

Pete.
