The last ¨unstable¨ release for the ATI drivers on livna was Kernel 2.6.10. Does anyone know if these are going to be made available for FC4?

I assume livna.org will have the rpms, but not right after the FC4 release.

Why do you want to use Livna's stuff? The package from ATI's download page works quite well, isn't it?

I've installed FC4 Test 1 and now Test 2.
I've tried to compile fglrx kernel module using ATI official package and even Livna module sources, without success.
I think these packages aren't compatible with 2.6.11 kernel, because I've also tried to compile the module for 2.6.11 on FC3, failing.

Why use the ati drivers? The stock drivers work fine for my tests in FC4. FC3 was horrible though, I alsmost went with vendor binary versions?
16737 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3347.400 FPS
18344 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3668.800 FPS
18626 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3725.200 FPS
16755 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3351.000 FPS
16791 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3358.200 FPS
17669 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3533.800 FPS
18533 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3706.600 FPS

Stock drivers? I did an upgrade from FC3 to FC4 which has killed the existing ATI driver I had working. How do I get the stock driver working? I tried to run Enemy Territory (Open GL based) and it drops out straight away stating that it can't find the OpenGL driver.

Because the stock drivers from xorg do not support the ATI Radeon 9800. Was able to install the ati drivers and get perfect excelleration in fc3 ... but fc4 is being problematic.

Heh, fat chance. ATI have done their usual trick of supporting everything except the Kernel you want to compile the drivers with. I can live with the supplied driver for now, but hopefully there'll be some sort of stable, reliable fix out there soon.

For some reason, I have slowed down speeds under 1000 frames in 5 seconds now. (stock - xorg-x11-6.8.2-37)
Have you tried the ati drivers from fc4 versin of livna?
