Is it just me, or is the severn directory not readable on redhat.com.
Maybe it's time for a new beta, or the final release?

Do you think it has anything to do with the recent Fedora announcement?
Makes me wonder.
Guess we'll find out soon enough...

Fedora, what's that 10.0 or 9.1?
Guess we'll find out yes

Fedora is the name of a company that RedHat bought/merged-with if I
understand correctly.
See if this makes any sense (and then enlighten me) :

It's almost like there was a second beta scheduled or something.

It will be 9.1
because of the RHCE certification they cant make it right away version 10
a RHCE is up2date for 2 major distro's
they went from 8 right to 9 if they do this again then within 1.5 years your
RHCE needs to be updated ...
ill sue them then i gues

Does RHCE actually help anyone get a new job or a pay raise at your existing
one? Where I work there are dozens of Linux developers and testers in my small
building alone and I doubt any are RHCE.
Just curious.

"A second Fedora Core test release (codename Severn) is now available.
As shown on the schedule, the test release 2 testing period will last
from September 25 to early October. Everyone is encouraged to download
it and participate by either submitting bugs or submitting fixes. All
bugs, requests for enhancements, and fixes should be submitted via
Bugzilla. Please keep up to date via Rawhide or RHN. "

Sounds like you haven't been paying attention for a while now. When RHL 9
came out:
http://www.redhat.com/training/rhce/rhce_faq.html#current
"The validity period for all RHCEs and RHCTs is now officially pegged to the
release of the Enterprise product commercially available at the time
certification was earned, and certification shall be current until after one
(1) major release of the Enterprise product. All RHCEs earned on Red Hat
Linux 7.3 or prior will be considered current until the release of Red Hat
Enterprise Linux AS/ES/WS 4. All RHCEs and RHCTs earned on Red Hat Linux 8.0
or 9 will remain current until the release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.
Validity and current status of an RHCE certificate will continue to be
verified at Certification Central."
And for that matter, there will never be a RHL 10:
