FC4T2 and battery charging problem

I recently installed FC4T2 on my dual-boot dell inspiron. I've run both RH9 thru FC3 on this thing over the last few years, but never a test version. Anyhow, when I installed FC4 my battery stopped charging. Batteries, actually. I've two and also have two adapters, one for work. This is likely a Dell problem, as it now no longer charges under XP either, but I wanted to mention it here since it was likey sparked by the install.

If anyone has experience with how to deal with this, I'd love to know. I'm starting to peruse the Dell forums, and it looks like they'll probably just recommend replacing the motherboard.
