I am planning to install Federo Core 3 Linux on my home system. I have ISO images but wouldn't like to cut CDs a of now untill Core 4 comes.
So I want to install from my hard disk mounted ISO images. I do unserstand that we have to use rawrite to create a bootable floppy from "booddisk.img" file located in the Federo CD.
As I don't have Federo CD, can I use Redhat 9/Mandrake 10 rawrite/bootdisk.img files to create bootable floppy and install Federo from hard disk from the boot disk created.

I don't know if the Redhat 9 floppy will get you going properly but it would be easy enough to go to a site like this http://download.stmc.edu.hk/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/os/images/
and get the Fedora 3 bootdisk.img or better yet, go up a couple of directory levels and find the Fedora rescue cd which is only about 70 megs.

Thanks for ur reply. I don't have CD drive but I have USB CD Writer. SO can't use CD as BIOS doesn't identify my USB drive.
What I am looking is for rawrite and bootdisk.img? where can I find them as there is no dosutils directory in the "http://download.stmc.edu.hk/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/os/"
And why bootdisk.img is about 6MB as I have to write into a single floppy. Is it the image file is huge but it creates 1.44MB floppy content only.
Can u also point me to Federo Core 3 rawrite.exe?

I want to create a bootable floppy for linux installation as my CD drive doesn't work(it got burnt).
So I want install from hard disk. I copied the 4 ISO images to F:\linux.
Now a diskboot.img is about 6MB it doesn't fit in a floppy. Anyway I can use a floppy to start my installation of Federo Core 3?
One the installation starts from floppy, I will point the source path to F:\linux where ISO images are lying.

Also I don't see dosutils directory which used to help me with Mandrake and redhat 9. Can I create a bootable disk from Redhat 9 and use it for installing Federo Core 3 from hard disk. I searched many threads but no one has given the correct method for Federo Core 3.
My limitations are to create a bootable floppy which will allow me to install from harddisk ISO images.

Please help, its urgent

Read this thread it enables to boot from floppy using loadlin
Note:Your iso files need to be on a FAT partition
Instead of using http install select Harddisk and select your harddrive
