Core3 hda: lost interupt

Microsoft Virtual Server 2005
P4 2.8HT
1024 Ram
Host OS: Windows XP Pro

I'm getting a mesage on my console: "hda: lost interupt". The system locks up for maybe 3-5 seconds, and continues normal operation. It seems like it happens when any load is put onto the machine.

I've googled this term, and from what I can find, it's a harddrive issue. However the hard-drive is only a year old, and preforms fine.

It's a standard virtual IDE drive.

I've been trying to fix this for almost a week now, to no avail. Any ideas? :eek:
