dudes... i need help here otherwise i'm going to bite something!!!!
i've been trying to get the software raid 1 to work with fc3 and i'm getting no results...
here is my setup....
i've got 3 ata hds and let label them as such:
1. one of 7gb labelled "mike"
2. 2 identical 80gb hds labelled "alpha" and "charlie"
i set mike on ide1 on master
then alpha as ide2 master and charlie as ide2 slave...
i mounted "/" and the swat partition on mike and i created software raid partions with both alpha and charlie and mounted "/home" on it....
hence alpha is labelled md0 and charlie is labelled md1...
everything seems to be ok and the installation goes on fine...
now, to test the raid software, i created a text file and placed it in the "/home" directory.... in theory, this file should be on both disks!!!!
to carry on with my test, i switch off my pc, and unplug alpha to see if if the file is on charlie...
to my surprise, i see nothing  !!!!!!
hence, i reconnect alpha and boot up and i get a on my screen "GRUB" and it goes nowhere else!!!!
please... if someone has managed to setup a proper and functional raid 1 with ata hds, please let me know how you did it... cause i'm going moggy here...
thanks
ps: both of alpha and charlie are working fine... it's not a hd defect...
