G'day.
I have some questions regarding Postfix on FC3. Do you have to run MySQL along with Postfix?
There are lots of resources for Postfix configs out there, but I am unsure of what configuration is the right one for my particular situation. I've tried a few things but without success. I'm hoping some of you out there will be able to offer some advice. My situation is this:
The postfix box is going to be an SMTP mail server. Fax messages, in the form of email will come to this box from within the network and get delivered to a mail account on this box. A RightFax server (on a seperate machine) will then poll the mail box on the Postfix server looking for mail - POP3 will handle the post boxes. RightFax will then grab any mail in that mail box, convert it to a fax and send it out via an ISDN line.
The only firewall of any sort will be installed on the Postfix machine for the purpose of stopping cheeky network users routing mail from within the network.
I don't need any special mail client installed. I've already installed pine simply for checking the mail accounts on the box for functionality.
Ok, so that's what I have so far, I hope I have included enough info to give a clear indication of what I'm attempting to do. Any help will be greatly apreciated as I am starting to go around in circles
Cheers,
Arch.
PS - I'm not installing a GUI so it's all being done from the command line.
