newbie needs help with capture card

I have started using fedora core 3, and have installed a flyvideo 2000 capture card. I have tried to use xawtv, and tvtime, but all I get is a blank screen. I need to know what to look for or what to install to make this work. Any help would be great.

Did kudzu ever detect the card and configure it? If not it may need a driver loaded first to associate with
