hey all... does anyone know if fedora core 4 works with virtual pc because i want to try out core 4 but dont have any spare comps at the moment and dont really want to destroy my windows install to repartition the drive.

Virtual PC totally fails to run kernels built with 4G/4G memory split as FC3's original kernel was. However FC4 has turned this off, so it *might* work. But any problems you have are not the responsibility of Fedora. You need to ask Microsoft for help. Good luck with that. =(
FC4 *does* work in VMWare fairly well, but requires some workarounds...

cool thanks, i'll have a go with it. I managed to find a kernel which had been fixed for fedora core 3 which you just have to install to get fc3 to work with vpc, but dont ask me whats changed cos i have no idea.

I am downloading fedora core tonight and will try to get to testing it on virtual and will let you know if it works or not.

brilliant - thanks... everytime i try to download it my internet becomes mr unhappy
