Downloaded FC4Test1 DVD, was trying to install it, but when it comes to Installing Method, then I choosed CDROM. But after awhile, my DVDROM drive ejected and prompt me saying that "cdrom contains no Fedora Core"...

Is it because I was installing my FC3 using CDs instead of DVD?

Need advise please....

what type of installation do you want to execute?
fresh install or update?

have you checked sha1sum for the image prior to writing the DVD?
does the built-in media check pass?

either clean install or update would be fine.... i do not really mind....

guessed the built-in media check should be after the "Intallation Method".... so I've got no chance to do that....

are you suspecting that the image (*.iso) is corrupted? But when I run the dvd inside FC3, I can physically see each file and it seems ok. Or it's different from running and booting?

yes, theres a difference. errors may have occurred in the process of downloading the ISO and writing it to disk.
if you still have the iso file on your hard disk, run the sha1sum utility to verify if the image is corrupted
edit: do this by typing the command "sha1sum FC4-test1-i386-DVD.iso"
the right checksum is 2e08d86311a291132dc3c1b40fa8383b354daf91 (according to http://fedora.redhat.com/download/test.html)

do you start the installation by just pressing return at the options prompt, or do you type "linux askmethod"?
for installation from DVD, no arguments should be neccessary

I actually just hit "return".... anyway i've deleted the *.iso... do not worry, will try to download it again. Thanks mate for your help... appreciate very much :)
