Lock desktop on removed smartcard

Hello,
I am using an aladdin eToken with pcsc-lite 1.2.0 on FC2.

I remember having read, that it is possible to execute something when the token is removed.
I'd like to use it to lock the desktop as soon as the token is removed.
WHat do I have to do?

I have read something like that to using a Towitoco reader. However, the description I found works only when modifying the GNOME/X sources.
Did you find anything different in the meantime?

hotplug is a program which is used by the kernel to notify user mode
