Hi there...

I bought the Dance of Death today and wanted to rip it to use it on my mp3player. But inserting the disc into any drive (DVDROM or CDWRITER) will lead to the dialog:
Unable to mount selected item.
/dev/hdc: Input/output error
mount: /dev/hdc: can't read superblock

Is there a possibility to rip it anyway ?? Does this have to do with the mentioned "Copy controll" on the disc ?

You normally do not mount audio CDs in order to play or rip them.

Yes it is possible, many tools are available, k3b for example is one. I don't think the 'Copy control' has anything to do with this, most of the DRM packages are built to work wiht Microsoft's Windows.

K3B will work fine in Gnome - excellent program.
