Hi,

Fedora recognizes my printer (Lexmark E310) and even show it installed.

However, when I print, the text comes out unformated and some of it is garbled. On some of the text printed you can read what seem to be driver settings instead of what should have come out.

thanks in advance,

Tony in Miami

I've had garbled print problems on my HP870Cxi, and it turned out to be a flakey parallel port (I tried swapping cables, changing driver options etc).

Helpful sites/pages might be:

http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Lexmark-Optra_E310
http://www.linuxprinting.org/forums.cgi?group=linuxprinting.lexmark.general

The E310 is a Postscript printer so the generic Postscript driver should work. Have a look under "System Settings->Printers", maybe something looks obviously wrong when you "Edit" the printer queue options.

How does it garbled? Does the printout come out like a list of PostScript commands?
