hi every one,
I'm a new to linux world
my porblem is after installing Fedora 3 the CD-Rom is not appearing in the /dev directory or there is mount point in /mnt directory, I've got two machines running linux one of them the CD-Rom device is there from GNOME desktop but there isn't a mount point in /mnt/cdrom so I can't use from the shell, and the other machine the CD-Rom isn't there at all.
So please help me if someone has a solution
The first machine got an orange CD-Rom
the second has an LG CD-Rom

thanks

The problem is related to udev, the daemon that allows to automount medias like CDROM. The default version has that bug. Update your Fedora system via up2date or 'yum update' in terminal as root. That should solve the problem.

I think the default location has also been changed from /mnt/cdrom to /media/cdrom.
