No error messages, just a spontaneous reboot? The installation process gives the hardware a good workout and problems can arise during this period.

Fedora installation disks come with memtest as one of the options available that you may wish to try to test your RAM.

Was the computer running fine with whatever was previously installed on it?

When you're at the installation CD prompt type "memtest86" to run the memory tester. It will cysle through many tests so you can close it after about 8 rounds or so if there's no problems reported.

Oh dear, that was not good that it died without finishing the memtest.
How many sticks of RAM do you have? After making sure that you are well grounded (wear static-strap), can you remove one and try again (just run the media check on the installation CD at this stage). If it reboots again, try the other stick instead. Whilst you are inside the case check for dust build up on the fans and make sure all connections are firm. Check the power cable to the machine is firmly plugged in at both ends.

Finallly, before putting the case side back on, apply power and make sure all the fans are spinning.

Failing all this, can you borrow some compatible RAM (and possibly a different power suppy unit) and try them in your machine?

what made me mad that is no problem at all with it when i am on xpYou dual boot this machine with XP, and it loads and functions correctly? You never mentioned that before. What happens if you do something cpu/resource intensive in XP now?

Well then, that is a puzzle if XP can still grind away with intensive graphical programs, yet your system reboots only with the Fedora installation CD in the drive.

Can you put a CD in the drive whilst in XP and see whether accessing/loading from it/saving to it etc can induce any bad behaviour in the machine.

Have you tried to burn yourself another disk 1 (presume all the md5sums were OK if you downloaded it) and give that one a whirl.

Other than that, I have run out of suggestions.
