View Full Version : ndiswrapper and alps plz help....

ive tried about 25 distros of linux and so far fedora seem's to be the nicest but i got 2 problems that i just cant solve... i surfed the net i tried to use my own knowlage searched like 10 forums and nothing ...
my problems are the ndiswrapper find my driver and detect my hardware but when i do modprobe the lights on my 3com 3crwe154g72 dont shine like they do when i do same thing on mandrake...
and alps touchpad doesnt work.
i tried it with every fedora kernel didnt change a thing.
im right now using kernel 2.6.10_766 all up to date with laptop 2400mhz and 256 ram ddr plz help me :)

Well, for the touchpad problem, if you are not too intimidated, you can build a "custom" kernel from source that has "Human Interface Device" support built in. I'm not sure if HID is built into the "generic" Fedora kernels.

hey james how do u build a custom kernel from source that has HID support built in i asked in another post about applying alps patch to the kernel im running now.
