Hi ,
I am a novice in Fedora..installed it just 2 days back....whenever i try to install any rpm whether it is *.src.rpm or *.i386.rpm I get errors....

1) file inttypes.h or bitypes.h not found......(I have placed the file inttypes.h in /usr/local/include and /usr/include) :(

2)while running ./configure it gives C compiler cannot create executables....

3)with "rpm -i" or "rpm -U" option in i386 rpms it is giving not a rpm package(or package manifest)

4)It also gives u are not able to compile i386 ....(something like this....i don't remember exactly)

I had installed all the packages the are needed for development while installation of fedora .I am trying to install xine and mplayer

Read the FAQ (http://www.fedorafaq.org/#installsoftware) and run yum install xine mplayer

I don't have an internet connection at my home.......... :( so yum is not possible....The only way i can do is i download it in office and take the rpms back in my laptop to my pc and install it.....

That would work. Remember to get all dependencies.
