Hi

I just installed Fedora Core 3, but unfortunately my Keyboard / Mouse Combo (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=1792&pcount=&Product_Id=156064&Section.Section_Path=%2FRoot%2FComputerAccessories %2FMice%2F) doesn't seem to want to play nicely with it.

The keyboard seems to be happy, but I can't get the mouse running (I've tried ps/2 and usb wheel mouse options).

I was able to use a serial mouse to get around the gui, but I'd really like if I could use the wireless optical ...

Interestingly enough, I recently started an install of Suse 9.1 on this box, but didn't finish it - however, the Suse installer supported the mouse right off the bat.

Could I just be selecting the wrong mouse type, or am I going to need to find special drivers (if they exist)?

Thanks in advance for any reply!

If it worked in Suse it should work in Fedora I would think. Here are a few things to try if you haven't already. First, see if your LED's are flashing on your receiver, keyboard and mouse whenever you move the mouse or press a key. Pay special attention to the LED on the receiver. Definitely try some other mouse selections. Keep in mind, if you plug in the PS/2 connector you are selecting the mouse to be a PS/2 mouse. Next, unplug your PS/2 cable to make both the mouse and keyboard USB, reboot. If that doesn't work, try plugging your USB connector into another port and rebooting. Last, with your computer off and your receiver plugged in, try removing the batteries from the keyboard and mouse for a few minutes, then reinstall them and restart your computer.
