I've installed Core 3 final on my IBM 600E, and the sound doesn't work. I'm not sure where to start, as I don't know much about this sort of thing, but if anyone has a question to get me started, I'd appreciate it. Furthermore, whenever I try to use the CD Player, all I get is a message on the application's window that says Drive Error. If you need more information, tell me how and what I need to get, and I'll get it. Thanks!

Probably the best place to start is to see if Fedora sees your hardware. Try running the command 'lspci' from console and post the output here.

Yes, it sees that you have a Cirrus Logic CS 4610/11 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator] (rev 01). I've had to fool around with alsaconf before on my IBM thinkpads with crystal sound, give that a try. See if you can't find a CS4610 in the alsa list. Meanwhile, I'll poke around to see if I can find more info for you. From console as root;
alsaconf

Well, when I type alsaconf as root, I just get a command not found message.

Ah sorry. I forgot it is not included in FC3. Try system-config-soundcard... and the tip I mentioned in the previous post/link.
