Upgradeing to fedora

I've tryed installing fedora on my laptop and I'm having the DVD-Rom will not boot problem. I have gotten Redhat 6.1 to install. Is there a way to run the install from 6.1 or can I do an Upgrade from 6.1 to FC1.
