I use Redhat 10 and Fedora 1. I can access any computer OS Windows on the LAN. But I can't access computer OS Linux and I don't know computer name of machine that. How to use command Ping <computername> and get data on machine OS Linux??? anyone help me Plz. Thanks

To access datas, you have to share datas. Or at least have a ftp or ssh server. To find out the current ip of the machine you are using try ifconfig as root.

I know that you write but I can't access in machine to get data. So if I have share data or use ftp... I can't too

Are you using Windows or Linux at the moment? If Linux use nmap to scan your network.
e.g. to scan my network, I would have to use
nmap 192.168.1.1/21
It might vary . Especially 192.168.1.1/21
is in every network a bit others. And 192.168.1.1/21 shows the first and the last ip to scan. Nmap will give you all the services, that are given.
If you use Windows, I don't know what you can use. Try to scan the network with I don't know what there might be.
If you have luck and you have a Linux running with ssh or telnet you can use in Linux ssh or telnet command and in Windows a app called putty to access them.

How to scan my network using nmap which all the Windows client ip address are assigned by DHCP and are 192.168.1.33 and above?
