Hello.

I am intending to buy a D-Link Print Server ( mostly DP 300U) to connect one HP 1005 and one TVSE MSP 245 Printer on a network . I have few windows PC and also a good amount of PC installed with various versions of Linux like Xandros, ELX , Fedora 2 etc.

All i want to know is will the Print Server work with Linux ?

Thanks

Should be no problem just setup printers to print to a network jet direct address and port. Manually should contain the info needed. Check out dlink site and review the manual online before buying. I don't have a combo routet print server but belive it will use the internal ip lan address and probably ports 9100 and 9101.

Did a quick review on dlink on random combo devices and that is how it is done. Should have no problems. Dlink are a very well built and secure devices. Lots of options that can be configured.
