I'm new to Fedora - so forgive a possibly dumb question.
Now that the latest ATI drivers are available for Xorg 6.8 - will there be an "official" rpm from anyone that makes install/updating with kernel easier?
I've seen the Livna one - but I've also read the buzziliions of warnings of mixing repositories. So why would I use that one?

There will be no "official" drivers released off Fedora's RPM repositories primarily because the drivers are not OPEN SOURCE. They are closed-source proprietary ATI drivers. Just like there are no official nVidia drivers on the Fedora RPM repositories. The only drivers there are those that have been made by regular people like you and me from scratch and then open-sourced.

There is some RPM packages for FC3 in the Unstable Livna repository. Note that they are considered as unstable......
