hi, the Fed3 64bit installed very smoothly and here i am online with it,
but when i tried to add some extra packages from AddRemove/CD, it froze.

today i tried up2date and it said about 160 updates available
including kernel 2.6.10-1.741_fc3 so i requested all, and it seemed to
have downloaded the lot, except for the kernel itself : Error 404 - not found.

then when i clicked ok, it jumped back to the up2date package list
as tho it had dumped all the previous. Did it actually install anything ?

At first I though up2date was really slick. Then it started pissing me off after it chugs for a while and then suddenly says "Oh file was not found on this 1 KB/s mirror I randomly chose, please start all over again muhahaha!"

So my advice is to only update 6-12 packages at a time.

The only thing I did not update was the kernel, but that machine hides entirely behind a firewall.

Restart it to see if it installed anything.
