I have a slight problem with Gnome, using FC3 64bit, I was changing backgrounds and I got a message box that a Panel Applet or something like that was already running and that it was closing down. After clicking on ok, I now have no Panels at all. Just a blank desktop, with my background, and nothing else. I can't bring up the Start Button or anything else.

So, how do I bring these panels back?

Thanks.

Right click on the mouse and add panel. There will be a list of panel to choose from. Add the gnome menu and whatever you want to add.

cheers

I believe he said all his panels are gone! If you have a link to your ternminal type:gnome-paneland if you dont have one create a launcher by right clicking on the desktop and for the launcher command use: gnome-terminal. Now that you have an icon open it and issue command.

Another way to launch things without a panel is <Alt><F2> for the run dialog.
