First i have only ever installed 1 Linux and i only did this last week.
Im seeing more and more errors like this
Assertion at disk_dos.c:485?
And here the answer
1 create an unformated unpartitioned space on the hd,
2 run the install,
3 set partition size and swap file size during install,
4 install.
I have only glanced at documentation and i got this 3 times before realise .
from one newbe to another
Please pay attention to all documentation.

I've heard that you need to create an unformatted unpartitioned part of your hard drive. Heck, I want to put the ENTIRE thing on a whole hard drive. I just don't know how to get an unformatted unpartitioned hard drive. I've got it installed, and it should be blank. I did a format (in Windows, not sure if that matters) and still get the assertion errors. I'm running out of ideas, even Disk Druid doesn't work. How did you do it?

I see you using data guard in anothe post.
i used data guard to set this up
40GB dos,
60GB dos,
60gbdos,
110gb dos,
(250gb hd)
i then used mandrake live to delete the first 60 gb partition,
install win to 40 gbpartition,
install fc3 to "deleted partition " creating main and swap space at start of annacondes setup.

Thanks for the help. I managed to get it installed, by unplugging the master hdd (my windows one) and then running the installer. After I did that, I never got the assertion errors again. I think when I finished the installation (rebooted, and then go through the start up) I selected the wrong resolution. My LCD screen says "Out Of Range." So, here we go again. Thanks!
