Having your True Type fonts can really help migrate from NT core to FC3 Core
True Type (IE: The Microsoft kind) of fonts need to be copied to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF
Here is an example (you have to be a super user (su) to make it work):
ians@localhost ~]$ su
Password:
[root@localhost ians]# cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF
[root@localhost TTF]# cp /home/yourdir/yourfontdir/* /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF
#
#
This way you will be able to use them in your X programs.
