Having your True Type fonts can really help migrate from NT core to FC3 Core

True Type (IE: The Microsoft kind) of fonts need to be copied to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF

Here is an example (you have to be a super user (su) to make it work):

ians@localhost ~]$ su
Password:
[root@localhost ians]# cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF
[root@localhost TTF]# cp /home/yourdir/yourfontdir/* /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF
#
#

This way you will be able to use them in your X programs.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
Ian

You can also use KDE Control Panel or Nautilus to copy Microsoft TTF on Fedora 3 font folder.
