hi,

i'm hoping somebody out there has been able to get lm_sensors running on a dell inspiron 5100 with fedora core 1? are there any tips you might want to share? i've spent the last couple weeks trying to get it up and running and always with whatever i do get "no sensors found!" dell support has been relatively useless on helping me find those sensor chips on the board (which if i open the case my warranty is void, or else i'd just do it myself, catch22), so i'm at this point just wondering if they're supported at all?

thanks for the bandwith,
ephman

I moved this thread since it is a more of a laptop question. There is a ton of Dell Inspiron enties on http://www.linux-laptop.net/, you may want to look there.

thanks mike i appreciate it, but that was one of my first destinations on this search. it's just that i can't imagine that i'm the only person with this issue.

thanks for the bandwidth,

Maybe you could get help at Dell's fairly new linux page? (http://linux.dell.com/) Tell us if you find anything.

Also perhaps http://groups.yahoo.com/group/linux-dell-laptops/ would be helpful as well.

Hi ephman,

What are the results after running the sensors-detect script?
