unicode problem?

When I email somebody they can't read my message on their mobile phone. I think it is a unicode problem or something like that.

What is the best way to solve this problem?

Set the unicode to something else? Do something differently?

what email client you use? i usually set to UTF8 for japanese and i dont think all email client support multi-byte font

Usually I like kmail. I am going to give thunderbird a whirl.
