I upgraded from FC1 to FC2T3 to FC2 final (not much changed from T3 to final IMO)... Anyway, Istarted running 2.6 kernels on FC1 since the test series was out without any problems. Suddenly when I installed kernel 2.6.6 UT2004 would not paly on-line (as soon as I pressed Join Game in the menu), it would catch a SIGHUP and hang (had to kill the process). This simptom showed only when I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.6 from vanilla 2.6.5 in FC1, then in stock FC2 2.6.5-1.327 and -1.358 it appeared again, not only that but also 2.6.6 would show this issue.

Anyone else is having this problem? I tried re-installing the game, patching and all, to no avail.

Just for the record I'm running:
FC2 final
2.6.6 kernel
ATi drivers 3.9

The log does not show anything.

Well, here I am again, with a Fresh Install of FC2 and the same thing happens. I must add that I have a fresh install of everything and this still happens... I really like FC2, but damn! is this a show stopper or what? I've tried looking everywhere for a logical explanation of this problem, but I don't seem to be able to find it anywhere. I don't want to trash FC2 off my system, but at this rate looks like I'll have to install it on a secondary system and stop using it as my primary system :( (in favor of Gentoo or Slack) I do not want to sound as if I'm threatening or anything, I just want this thing to work, I mean UT2K4 (along with NWN) is my favorite game and is (oddly enough) the only program that doesn't work in my system   :(

Please if you have ANY hints as to why is this problem occuring (I'm sure it has something to do with Network configuration) please do tell me, I'm desperate!.

Unfortunately I can not help you, I am still in FC1 age :)

I do have a suggestion for you, before giving up on FC2 try to search fedora-list (http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list) and if you can't find anything useful post a detailed description of your problem. I have been in a similar situation (no answers to my post here at FedoraForum.org) and the mailing list helped me solve my problem.

I run it fine on my own compiled 2.6.5 kernel. I would sugest try compiling your own kernel which is a good thing anyway and then try it as i havent gone to 2.6.6 yet, so try compiling ur own 2.6.6 kernel and then try it. ANy problems compiling ur kernel post here and ill help you out.
