Finding desktop icons from Create Launcher in FC3

I did a quick search and didn't see this posted yet.

After creating a desktop icon using Create Launcher (on the right-click menu) the icon does not appear. Click on the desktop and do Ctrl-R to reload the desktop and make the icon visible.

I believe this is only an issue in FC3.

Thanks, this seems to be the same for FC4...

I wondered where the darn icon went to, then did the control-r, and wow, how many icons there were.
I should have controlled myself, I created like 10 before i discovered your post.

Not just through Create Luancher, atleast with FC4 - some downloads and such aren't ending up on the desktop without a refresh (though, if I were to use my home dir, it works fine).

A refresh shows them all there. As a note, they aren't visible on the desktop, or in the Desktop directory through Nautilus.
