What page location are you talking about? Are you on a linux or windows machine, because if it is Windows you may want to check for spyware. It is assured that there are no popups located on the fedoraforum.org domain.

It sounds like your system has a virus or some spyware on it. Try out this anti spyware program called "Adaware": http://www.lavasoftusa.com/.

FWIW, you can download Firefox from here: http://www.mozilla.org and set your preferences to block unwanted popups.

while i haven't seen any pop-ups, i did see some spam in posts earlier. all kinds of botanical ectracts and crap.
(thinks we should put all the spammers, lawyers, and polititions on an island that the armed services use for gunnery practice. (well, maybe not all the lawyers, i have a couple of friends who's only failing is being a lawyer. ;) )
