wheel mouse not working

Hi all,
my wheel mouse , logitech cordless optical mouse ceased to work after the upgrade to fedora core 3. It is set as IMPS/2 in xorg.conf by the system-config-mouse.Any suggestion?

I made my Logitech cordless mouse work with the auto setting.

It was not optical however.
