I think this is good news.... But after all the trouble ppl have with these drivers on FC3 (they didnt even install for me on FC1) it makes you wonder....

It is good news... I have never had much problems installing video drivers occasionally they dont go through straight away but with a bit of googling I always manage to get them going.
Its unforunate that they cant be shipped with the OS though, if only the drivers themselves were open-source. I think it will benifit us all a lot more

actually they can be shipped with the os. it's more a matter of certain distros not wanting to include them because of their closed nature. there are at least several distros which include nvidia's drivers that get installed with everything else.

I agree so distros include nvidia drivers that is if you purchase the retail distro box. On the other hand fedora allows you to install drives the easy way, which I done and even was able to play ut2003 with no prolems. For more info here: http://www.fedorafaq.org/#nvidia
