Does anyone know if the Rio Karma 20GB portable device works with FC3?

I don't know, but I don't think so. Apparently the Karma (http://www.digitalnetworksna.com/shop/_templates/item_main_Rio.asp?model=261) does not have the capability of being recgonized as another hard drive device. It seems to depend on Windows drivers and software to communicate. However, I don't know for sure as I haven't tried it.

According to this review (http://features.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/10/09/1813228) you can connect to the network on the dock.

there's a java applet that works via ethernet for non-windows platforms

it doesn't show up as a usb mass storage device on any platform

I think it works, but if you're buying a ogg vorbis compatible player that works great in linux, I would go for the Jetaudio iAudio M3. It's quite expensive, but a great player, got one for christmas myselft.

You mount it just like any portable usb device, I plug it in, it jumps up in "Computer" and I copy the music files over.

Hear, hear for iAudio. I'm waiting for their next version of the M3 to come out...it looks sweet. In the meantime, I bought the 1Gb flash of theirs, the U2. It's great. Plug it in, drag music to it...done! Sounds great too.

Cheers,
