I have installed ut2004 on FC3 x86_64 and everything works, sound included. When I installed the 3323 patch, it runs and I get no sound (the latest patch 3339 crash the install). Any suggestions as to what I could check to find the problem.

System:
Athlon64 3200+
Asus A8V Deluxe
FX 5700
Audigy 2 ZS

Yeah so I just jumped on the x86_64 band wagon, and moved from Mandrake to FC3
(btw, Mandrake 10.1 and an MSI Neo2 Platinum *do not* mix.)

Right, so the first thing was to get UT2004 running. :p After discovering
libstdc++.so.5 in compat-libstdc++-8-3.3.4.2.x86_64.rpm, I also am afflicted with
no sound -- but also it runs like 2x to 3x slower! I am using version 3339
for ut2004. It runs beautifully using the i386 binary.

Hopefully we can figure something out. Maybe we could send email to that icculus
guy that did the Linux UT2004 binary.

I think maybe we need a 64-bit "openal.so" file?

People are reporting massive framerate drop with amd64 + v3339

YES! Just download openal, compile, and drop the new libopenal.* into ut2004/System/openal.so

 But the game is *still* slow as molasses with the amd64 binary (vs i386)
Tip: back down to patch 3323 and the amd64 binary is 2x-3x faster! :D
