Hello some one has emailed me and suggested that FOSDEM 2005 might be something I am interested in going to - not sure why to be honest as I have never heard about it before.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it, and if it is something that Linux Newbies might find useful?

From what I have read else where as well as in the email - it is a European Open Source meet up - with a few speech's etc.

Its in Brussels, and I am in UK - filghts are not expensive any more - and we have the train now as well, but I am not sure if this is something I would actually benefit from.

The email was sent from someone that I ask a lot of PHP questions of, so I am wondering if it is something that is more for programmers and PHP'ers than Linux Newbies.

Basically - has anyone ever been to this before - whats it like/about and would I (as a Linux newbie) benefit from it?

Thanx

Dave
