I upgraded from FC2 to FC3 couple of days ago, all seemed to have gone well. However, Kmail and GnuPG no longer work well together. When responding to a message which was encrypted to me (the message decrypted and displayed fine), although while editing the message it appears fine, after sending the message the resultant message is complete garbage.
Every time a signed message is sent, it whinges about needing the passphrase and asks to upgrade to gpg 1.9 (a development version) even though a perfectly good stable GnuPG shipped with FC3. Making /usr/bin/gpg suid root doesn't stop the whinging, either. (In the past running gpg suid root allowed it to use secure memory to cache the passphrase).
Any ideas on what might have gone wrong with the upgrade, and how to fix this?
Regards,
-Jeff
