Patrick is the guiding light behind Slackware, probably the oldest "distro" in existence. He's been battling some very, very nasty problems, but seems to be on the mend.

From his earlier descriptions, I don't think he knew what he had. I don't have any more info than that.

I will help him!!! I will write a very complex shell script to cure him!!!

Maybe he had some form of it.

If so, sure hope he beats it once and for all. That stuff is bad news.

it is very good that he feels all right. but this puts some concens on one-man-driven distros... I don't intend to spread FUD - but this is kind of dangeruous (for user) - what are the policies for such (one-man-driven) distro if something happens to this one-man? this is quite unstable to me :P

note this is just my own divagation, not speaking about technical stuff but just theoretical... if it would not go good where it would go?
