which controller and RAID level do you use?

generally i think it is no problem to dual-boot from a RAID as long as Windows and Linux recognize the controller
however, the last time i installed a linux system to a RAID was with Red Hat 8, which recognized my Promise FastTrak TX2000 as a two-channel IDE adapter, and the only way to install RH8 was unsing software-raid, which is not possible with Windows...

At this stage NO, Federa doesn't work too well with the current stock of hardware (mostly onboard) controlers, Federa see the seperate drives. You can set Federa up to use software raid and have very little lose of performance, but windows will not boot off a software raid drive.

I have 3 x 120gig SATA drives for windows, and 1 80gig IDE for Federa and then use a BIOS switch to change between the 2, it is a pain, but works for me.

There a few topic on here about the troubles of hardware raid and Federa for more reading.
