I was wondering if it's possible to upgrade from FC2 to FC3 without have to download and burn the cds and run the installer that way. My cd supply just ran out and I'd like to get started on upgrading before I get a chance to get more.
If I missed some obvious documentation somewhere please point out where.
Thanks

Many users are reporting major issues after doing an upgrade. My advice do a backup of your data and do a fresh installation. This guy just upgraded and now nothing works for him: http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=28883

I've not had troubles upgrading, so take your pick about upgrade or fresh install. I do recommend backing up first, especially if your /home is not on a separate partition.
The other option besides downloading all the CD's is to do a network installation. You'll still need the first CD, but when the boot: prompt comes up, type linux askmethod and select which option you want to use (depending upon what resources you have available). I fresh-installed the wife's computer using the hard-drive option, since that's where I had the ISOs that I'd downloaded stashed and her CD-ROM was having issues with disks 2-4.

Well I just installed FC2 yesterday since that's what I had around for cds and it's working perfect. Now I'm not sure if I should stick with that or grab FC3 and go for it. I'm leaning towards FC3 since if I screw up my install I'm not going to lose anything.
