With recent revisions there is now enough information in my Fedora Core 3 Linux Installation Notes (http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_core_3_installation_notes.html) to set up a fairly comprehensive desktop installation including multimedia and a LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP/Perl) web server as well.
