Hello,
I'm using Fedora 16 on my Travelmate 5740 notebook and I got a number of problems with the network and the broadcom driver.
The drivers are from the kernel package, it's this one: Broadcom Corporation BCM43225.
Firstly, when I'm logged into our school network, I get a connection aborts after some time and the system isn't able to reconnect unless I restart it. I think that's because we got new routers and there might be a problem with the compatibility.
And secondly, sometimes I also get messages that there has a problem with the kernel package occured, like this:
WARNING: at drivers/net/wireless/brcm80211/brcmsmac/main.c:7998 brcms_c_wait_for_tx_completion+0x8a

Hello fed ora

The "brcmsmac" driver is fairly new. Although the 43225 chipset that you have is one of those it supports there has been a period during the life of F16 when it didn't work at all.

During that period I installed the broadcom-wl driver from rpmfusion for my 43225 and it has been working perfectly ever since.

It might be worth trying for your card.
