Hi. I have no CD-ROM burner, but want to upgrade from FC2 to FC3. I have the FC3 ISOs all downloaded; now, all directions that I can find say that I need to burn a boot CD-ROM that will launch anaconda, which can then read the images from my hard disk and do the upgrade.
But I can't burn the CD-ROM, so here's my question: Is there a way to modify your grub config files (on your hard disk) to add an option of launching anaconda via grub? I can't see why this wouldn't be possible - after all, if it can be booted off of an installation CD-ROM, it should be possible to boot it off of a CD-ROM image on your hard disk, or perhaps a directory tree on the hard disk that has all the same files as the boot CD-ROM.
So, is this possible? How do I do it?
Thanks.
