Hi All,
I have been doing a little Mini-ITX project, and have been trying to finish it off today by puttin Fedora Core 2 on it. To get FC2 on to the mini-itx board required a modified boot up (see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=120685), dont know if thats whats causing problems or not. Anyway, Ive get FC2 on the machine, no problem except that I cannot networking to work. I have 2 setups I would like to get working.
----- 1 -----
The first and most important. I have a Netgear MA111 USB adapter. I have downloaded the wlan-ng stuff, compiled it, configured it, etc. The problem is when I run "modprobe prism2_usb" I get the following error:
Error inserting prism2_usb (/lib/modules/2.6.6-1.383/linux-wlan-ng/prism2_usb.ko): unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
The error in dmesg is:
prism2_usb: Unknown symbol usb_kill_urb
Can anyone shed light on this?
---- 2 -----
This is probably mor of a windows problem! I have 3 PC's connected to an ADSL router. I have another network card in my machine and thought if I hooked a crossover cable from this to the linux box, I could simply route/tunnel to the net. I have tried internet connection sharing, bridging, proxy servers, etc. but nothing works. They can however ping each other. I am assuming that it is something to do with windows on my main machine not forwarding packets.
Any ideas?
Any help, especially for the first prob. would be greatly appreaciated.
Cheers,
Nick
