I'm having issues getting my USB wireless adapter to work, it show up under lsusb as Bus 002 Device 002: ID 1b75:8189 Ovislink Corp.
but thats about it. The rtl8187 module is not being loaded even after reboot and loading it manually with "modprobe rtl8187" loads the module but doesn't help.
The module is located at:
/lib/modules/3.1.5-6.fc16.x86_64/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/rtl818x/rtl8187/rtl8187.ko
The NIC is not showing up under either ifconfig or lspci.
I'm running Fedora 16 - 3.1.5-6.fc16.x86_64 on a HP EliteBook 8530p.
I've tried the device on a windows PC and it is working.

I've installed kmod-staging as suggested by leigh123linux (post was deleted?) but nothing happened, even after a reboot. Am I supposed to do anything after installing or should it work without adjustments ?
