DBDesigner 4

Dear All,
does any one use DBDesigner 4..?


I've got problem how to install it in linux (i use FC 2).
I've downloaded the Tar file from fabforce.net then decompressed the file. But there's no instruction or readme file how to install or use it.

I tried to excute the dbdesigner4 file, but not working.

I start DBDesigner with:
startdbd
System write on console:
Symbolic links exist
Starting DBDesigner4 ...

But DBDesigner won't start. "

Pls give me an assistance.

well, i was in the same situacion, but there is a instruccions in labFORCE's page:

Download the file to your HOME directory.
Extract the tar archive by executing
tar xvzf DBDesigner4.0.5.4.tar.gz from the command line. Change to the created directory (cd DBDesigner4) and run ./startdbd.sh to start DBDesigner 4.

Yes, I have DBDesigner 4 installed on my home machine.
Just try the other shell script.
There are 2 shell scripts. Just try the both sequentally . In my case this worked fine. I suggested to firm that make DBDesigner to make a clean RPM package. Probably in next version RPM package will be available.
