I'm still a huge fan of gmail, as I said before I like the gmail approach of putting the mail together as discussions and gmail will release pop access on short time. And the 1000 mb storage is great.

i would suggest squirrelmail :)

Hord is another one that I have used in the past, but I do hear great things about SquirrelMail also. It really looks nice and can be configured quite a bit. They keep it updated also.
